Prayer Shawl

The Prayer Shawl in the picture was hand-made by a group at the Roseburg Methodist Church where Bob is a member and a lay-leader. They chose colors that were as "manly" as possible. I think they chose well. It is so soft.

The explanation for it is, whenever you wrap yourself in this prayer shawl, let it remind you that God's love surrounds you. Let the warmth of God's love bring hope, courage, comfort, strength, and healing. I have it on Bob's bed at Rose Haven.

When we're finished using it, we may keep it or give it to someone else who would appreciate being reminded of God's love. Between you and me, I think we'll keep it on our bed to remind me of God's miracle.

Bob was worked hard in physical therapy today. He slept all day. His belly was filled with biscuits and gravy for breakfast. We had a candlelit lunch together too. The menu was pork, gravy, and potatoes. Bob's pork was ground, and he had mashed potatoes. He fed himself.

A prayer of healing and strength:

Dear God,

Use every event in my life, even my present circumstance, to work within me to bring healing of body, mind, soul, spirit, and relationship. In every way manifest your blessing in and through my life. Amen.
