Where's Bob? I could not find my t when I got to the VA this morning. A nurse told me he likes to roam in his wheelchair. So, I set out searching; however, I wasn't having any luck. A male nurse went looking for him. It was taking a lot of time. My mind started to wonder if Bob managed to get out of the front doors again, and he was wheeling around on campus somewhere. Finally, the nurse found him way down at the other end of the building looking out at the gardens. I asked what he was doing. He looked so sad and lonely just sitting and staring out the window. (It was raining, so he couldn't go out.) Yesterday was a gorgeous day. We sat outside for a long while.
I am so glad he has only one week to go, and then he's home. His sister, Lori, from Nebraska will be visiting him with his other sister, Michelle, on Thursday and Friday. I'll be back up on Saturday and staying until take-home day on Tuesday. Bob said a few times that he wanted to go home. At least this time, a medical reason of needing monitored helped ease the excuse of having to stay.
PARTY
There will be a one-year Survival Party, May 29th for those who need more time to plan. That is Memorial weekend, so you'll have a four-day weekend. More details will be coming.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
HeavenlyFather, thank You for the good future that You have prepared for me. Today I choose to come into agreement with Your Word and declare Your blessing over my life. Keep me close to You as I surrender every area of my life to You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
