Welcome note

When my husband and I set out to find and take pictures of wheelchair accessible waterfalls in every U.S. state, we were excited about the challenge. We gave ourselves no time limit to accomplish our feat; however, we had one mutually agreed upon rule that dictated how long we would stay in any given area. That rule was to never shiver again. Needless to say, adhering to this rule presented a new challenge. The new challenge was to find a waterfall that was actually flowing. Visiting mid-west and eastern states during months that prevented us from shivering are the same months that are hot enough to dry up streams; hence, little or no water flow for waterfalls. The natural scenery and picturesque landscapes warrant a second visit in the early spring right after the snow melts.

Everything happens for a reason...What is it? and updates

:-( Bob was supposed to be home by today. Now, the social worker says they want to keep Bob in observation for a few weeks. AAAAAA... If so, I want him transferred back down to Roseburg. He is not going to be too happy about that tidbit of news. He's continuing his PT and OT. He is still doing fine today. Update: Bob will be returning to the Vancouver VA for observation for at least two weeks. The neurosurgeons want to do three more CAT Scans on him before they "clear" him for going home. They want to make sure there is no fluid build up, which would require the shunt to be put back in. Also, because of Monday's surgery, Bob has become weakened, so, he'll be working on PT for his extended stay. He can not come back to Roseburg to be observed. Should anything happen, he'll be too far away (Roseburg is a three hour drive.)
I got some other news today that is disappointing. There is a new drug for MS that is supposed to help with speed while walking. The cost is a little over $1000 a month. My prescription plan will cover it; however, not for three months yet. The drug was approved by the FDA in January; it became available in March; but, it's too new for the drug company to cover it. They may 90 days from now. What's the hold up? It was approved by the FDA. Why does the prescription company have to approve it?
